ABOUT US

Miss Blair and Miss Sarah have been long time friends and co-workers. Together they have nearly 30 years of experience in Montessori teaching and early education. With support from family and friends, they decided it was time to venture out and open their own school, Wildflower Montessori,  located at 6108 NW 63rd Terrace in Kansas City, Missouri, which opened in November 2017. They had full intentions of eventually growing their school over the course of a few years; but to their surprise, only six months later, they were presented with an opportunity to expand into an adjacent building, just west of their original one. In November 2018, they added two toddler classrooms and three preschool classrooms which now allows for them to offer infant through grade school programs for over 120 students. In July 2022,

They are proud of what they've been able to accomplish during their journey as business partners and excited to see what the future holds. None of this would be possible without the encouragement and support from their families, friends, students and dedicated staff.

MISS SHERRIE

Director | Wildflower East

I'm from Kansas City, Missouri and have been working at Wildflower since December 2018. As the oldest grandchild, I always helped take care of my cousins. My passion for working with younger kids was a natural, God given gift, that eventually turned into a career for me in childcare. I have a college education is Child Development and have been working with children for over eleven years. I love to see their excitement when they learn something new. When I'm not in the classroom, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, reading, and serving in my church and community.

MISS BLAIR

Co-Owner and Director

I was born and raised here in Kansas City and currently reside in the Northland with my 7 year old daughter, Bella, 2 year old son, Luca, and my husband, Ananda. I attended UMKC and have a background in early childhood education and curriculum development. My passion for teaching began in high school when I had the opportunity to work at a summer camp with inner city youth. During my time in college, I began teaching part time at a local Montessori school and fell in love with the philosophies and time I spent with the children. After college, I continued working at that school for 11 years and played many roles such as director, teacher and staff development coordinator, curriculum specialist and parent liaison.

Owning my own school and creating a space for families and their children to feel safe, loved and comfortable was always a dream of mine. In January 2017 our good friends and business partners, Sarah and Ryan Jordan, decided it was time for us all to make that dream come true. Wildflower Montessori is a space for children to grow, laugh, learn and be loved unconditionally. As parents, the hardest choice to make is “who will care for my child while I am at work?” At the end of the day, our hope is that families feel at ease making the decision for Wildflower Montessori to be a part of their lives.

MISS SARAH

Co-Owner and Preschool Teacher | Sunflower | Wildflower West

I am a preschool teacher and one of the proud owners of Wildflower Montessori. I am Montessori trained and have been teaching for the past 12 years. During this time, I've worked with children between the ages of one and five. My favorite part about teaching is watching the kids get excited to learn and discover the world around them. To be a part of this is truly magical. My husband, Ryan, and I have two beautiful children together, Grey and Poppy. We also have four dogs and a cat. I look forward to becoming a positive and important part of your family's life. In my free time, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family and friends, as well as being a tap dance enthusiast.

MISS KIM

Infant Teacher | Daffodil

I’ve been working in childcare for the past three years and I’ve been at Wildflower since November.  I worked in the Liberty School District before I became certified NAMC – Montessori. The best part of Montessori is watching the child grow and explore activities that are of interest to them. Being a part of their daily lives is truly a blessing to me. Outside of the classroom I enjoy cooking, reading and spending as much time with my children, grandchildren and friends as possible.

MISS KRISTIN

Toddler Teacher | Primrose

I’m from Kansas City, Missouri and have been in childcare since 2010. My passion for teaching came from my mother who is a special education teacher and sign language interpreter. I know some fundamental sign language that I try and implement in the classroom. The main reason I became an educator is to have the ability to make a direct impact on their future. I love providing encouragement and guidance throughout a child's school day and beyond. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy shopping, eating and spending time with family and friends.

MISS CECILIA

Grade School | Lavendar

I am from Banning, California and have been in Missouri since I began college in 2014. I still enjoy flying back home to see my family every once in a while. Maybe one day I will move back, but I am going to enjoy this time in my life living in another state. I began working at Wildflower in March 2020. I have been working with children since high school in summer programs, sports programs and after school programs. My passion for teaching came from my mother who has been a teacher for over 30 years and has seen the joys and challenges of working in education. I decided to go into education because this is where I feel my purpose lies. I have a BA in Psychology that I received from Cottey College, in good 'ol Nevada, Missouri; not to be confused with the state of Nevada. My first job after college was at a children's behavioral center, which allowed me to be formerly trained in Emergency Safety Intervention (ESI). My favorite part about teaching is being able to be included in the growth process of a child. There are so many things they want to knowand I am always willing to give them my best answer. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy playing the piano, softball and basketball. I love going on walks, finding treasures in thrift stores and consignment shops, painting my nails, flipping houses with my best friend and booking new and fun foods.

MR. ADAM

Meal Prep Extraordinaire and Assistant Teacher

I am originally from Kansas City, Missouri and I’ve been at Wildflower Montessori since April 2018, but have been in childcare since 2016. Miss Blair, our director, was my co-teacher at a different school and continues to inspire me to put my whole heart into teaching. She is a true example of what it means to be a leader in the classroom and as a business owner.  I am Montessori certified and strive for each family to trust me in guiding their child through toddlerhood with a strong sense of self-awareness, self-confidence and self-motivation. When I’m not in the classroom, I love playing disc golf, going to concerts and visiting local breweries.

MISS REILLEE

Assistant Teacher | Grade School, Preschool and Infant

I grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and have been at Wildflower since September 2021, but I have been in childcare since 2016. Watching children learn is exciting and rewarding. In the Montessori classroom, I enjoy the aspect of being able to spend more one-on-one time with each child which allows me to get to know them better as a person and as a student. Some of the activities I enjoy outside of school is reading, walking my dog and watching funny shows with my sister.

MISS AUBREY

Toddler Teacher | Snapdragon

I'm originally from St. Louis, Missouri and have been with Wildflower since September 2022. I began teaching swim lessons at the age of fifteen and really enjoyed instructing. When my son was ready for daycare, I became a teacher at his childcare center and fell in love with that experience as well. My favorite part about teaching, is watching the children learn and discover new things, especially with the Montessori approach when they can learn at their own pace. My hobbies include swimming and being outside. I am a mother to two young children and I spend all of my 'free' time enjoying life with them.
